Digital Microwave |
Teralight Microwave solutions are a digital microwave system
designed to offer a cost effective solution in long haul point
to point and point to Multipoint RADIO links. 7, 8, 13, 15, 18,
23, 38 Ghz frequency ranges are available and is capable of concurrently
transmitting /receiving (through a common antenna), capacity agilities
are from 2E1 upto 64 E1, E3, 10/ 100 BaseT Ethernet, User selectable
at a distance over 30 km, depending on climatic conditions, antenna
type and RF path profile.

Teralight Microwave solutions offers reliability and provides
error-free transfer for high rate digital signals such as digitized
voice, computer data, facsimile and compressed video. The system
also serves as backbone for Cellular Telephony applications while
it meets the ETSI EN 301-128 requirements. CPM scheme is used
for modulation /demodulation of base band signals, implemented
with advanced DSP techniques.
Teralight Microwave solutions are available in 1+0 topology (shown
in the above photo) and 1+1 topology also. The advantage of the
latter over the former is the redundancy in case of a communication
failure. 1+1 topology is strongly recommended for rough terrains
(i.e. mountains or sea existence between stations), long haul
links and also wherever increased reliability and/or system redundancy
is of vital importance.

Features |
• Ideal for long haul links (line of sight exceeding
30Km)
• Available in 1+0 & 1+1 (Hot Stand-by, Space Diversity,
Frequency Diversity) topology
• Meets the increasing demands in Public, Cellular, Data
and Corporate Network Infrastructure
• Fully controlled and supervised through a Network Management
System (NMS)
• Fully Synthesized RADIO Unit (covering the full band)
• Loop back capability at the Transceiver, Modem and Line
Interface Units
• Block Forward Error Correction (FEC)
• Employs robust CPM Modulation implemented by advanced
DSP techniques
• Automatic Transmitted Power Control (ATPC)
Teralight Microwave solutions product portfolio
is primarily focused on the following main application areas:
• Mobile Telephony Networks:
Connection of Cellular Network elements, including MSCs, BSCs
and BTSs. In addition, a medium capacity backbone network can
also be built-up.
• Public Fixed Networks:
Connection of local with remote Exchange or remote subscribers
(PABX),
• Corporate Networks:
Establishment of links for special applications, such
as DATA Networks for temporary construction sites,
• Access Networks:
Provision of alternative routes to copper or fibre cables,
hence it can be used for RLL applications
Teralight Microwave solutions are also suitable
for network configurations that use "chain", "star"
or "ring" fault-tolerant topologies. The following figures
show a few possible network configurations.

Sparkwave |
• The new generation of medium and low capacity radio-relay
systems.
• Digital radio-relay system, intended for the operation
in the 7, 8, 13, 15, 18, 23 and 38 GHz frequency bands
The Most Convenient SparkWave Applications are:
• Creation of main and stand-by transmission paths in public telecommunications
network and in large corporations (railways, oil-gas distribution
companies, telecommunications along highways, government and private
organizations).
• Base station connection in a cellular mobile network.
• Connections in dedicated networks (interconnection between PABX,
LAN and WAN network)
• Urgent and temporary connections that must be set up in the
shortest possible time (political, cultural and sport events,
natural disasters etc.)
• Quickly growing networks, especially core and access networks
for new service providers |
 |
Advantages of Sparkwave |
|
• State of the art technology: the most advanced technological
solutions of microwave and base-band units enable achievement
of top technical performance and very high reliability of operation.
• Modular structure: the modular structure gives the family flexibility
and, consequently, a cost effective solution to customer needs.
• Possibility of applying an active repeater: the SparkWave AR
18/23G active repeater produced by Iskra Transmission provides
additional applicability of radio systems. The active repeater
is applied where long distance transmission is needed and/or in
cases where two radio stations are not within the line of sight.
